LAFLEUR ON THE VERGE OF JOINING RARE COMPANY

Fiormer Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur could be making history on Sunday.

A win for LaFleur, currently the head coach of the Packers, over the 49ers in the NFC Championship would make him the sixth first-year head coach in league history to lead his team to the Super Bowl, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.

"He was a huge part of establishing the foundation of what we wanted to be," McVay said of LaFleur, who was with Los Angeles during the 2017 season before the Tennessee Titans hired him as their offensive coordinator in 2018.

Klein's full feature on LaFleur's rise can be read here.
