Throughout March, the Los Angeles Rams highlighted the importance of Women’s History Month and celebrated the growth of women flag football players. With a focus on the athletes of today and the generations of tomorrow who will benefit from increased access and recognition in sports, the Rams' commitment extended beyond celebrating athletes on the field. The organization led by powerhouse women and hard-working staff were recognized internally through the Rams Women's History Month Staff Showcase. The Rams Women's History Month initiatives reinforce the year-round dedication they uphold to uplift and empower women connected to the organization and beyond.

With flag football gaining momentum and its inclusion in the 2028 Summer Olympics approaching, the Rams used the month as a platform to invest in the sport's future. Their efforts began with a Talent Identification Flag Football Camp, hosted in partnership with USA Football. More than 300 young athletes, ages 10 to 18, took part in drills, scrimmages, and combine-style testing, evaluated by USA Football personnel. Top performers were invited to join Select Teams or try out for U.S. National Team Trials in the 15U and 17U divisions, providing a clear pathway to national and international competition.

The athletes left the event feeling inspired. Participant Reese Paxton said, "I have been having so much fun and learning skills that are impactful for my future and that I can do at home. This event is really helping me understand the techniques." Rams' leadership also emphasized the importance of inclusion in football. Noel Grigsby, Manager of Social Justice and Football Development, stated, "Football is a sport for everyone. Women make up a large part of the audience watching the game, so they deserve a spot on the field. The Rams also exemplify women in leadership in the front office. Regarding flag football, we want to show that women are leading from the front."

The excitement continued with the Rams' third annual Girls Flag Spring Classic, presented by Bridgestone. Over 60 youth teams and 40 high school teams competed across multiple age divisions in a 7-on-7 tournament. With so many young women athletes participating, the energy and excitement was high across all fields. The championship teams earned rings and trophies, while MVPs received custom Rams jerseys and chains. Families attending were able to enjoy food trucks, a vendor village, interactive fan activities, and youth clinics through the Rams Football Academy, creating a celebration that extended beyond the competition.

Off the field, the Rams extended their support into the classroom with the Academic Challenge, presented by Shell. In partnership with Los Angeles Unified School District and USA Football, the program recognized local girls' flag teams for academic achievement. Venice High School and Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies were honored, each receiving a $2,500 equipment grant from the Rams and USA Football, with Shell matching the contribution, doubling the investment in these student athletes. The assemblies featured performances from each school's band and cheer team, alongside Ellie Greenberg, Coordinator of Community Impact and Engagement, speaking about the importance of education while being an athlete. At the end of each event, the students' gratitude and excitement confirmed that everyone valued the significance of achieving their goals both on and off the field.

Through initiatives like these, the Los Angeles Rams are not only celebrating women in football but actively shaping the sport's future. From the practice fields to the classroom, Women's History Month became a platform to empower, inspire, and create lasting opportunities for the next generation of female athletes and the women who work diligently to uplift those around them.
