As we continue our recap of the 2025 season, theRams.com will look back on the top five offensive plays and top five defensive plays by the team.
Here's the best of the defense:

5) DE Kobie Turner picks off Sam Darnold in Week 16
The Rams' lone big-man pick came from Turner in Weeks 16. With the Seahawks facing a third-and-goal from the six, defensive coordinator Chris Shula called a disguised coverage, bringing simulated pressure by sending inside linebacker Nate Landman after the quarterback and dropping Turner into coverage. Darnold's confusion goaded him into a quick decision, as he targeted a slant route that went right behind Turner's drop, and he intercepted the pass before returning it for 10 yards.
4) S Kam Curl's game-sealing interception of Colts quarterback Daniel Jones
In Week 4, the then-undefeated Colts were attempting to tie the game with a minute remaining, trailing by seven. Jones took a deep shot, but Curl undercut the route and high-pointed the ball for his second interception of the game. A first down for the Rams officially gave them the win, 27-20.
3) Landman's game-sealing punch out against the Texans
In Week 1, the Texans were driving down the field with a chance to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. But when running back Dare Ogunbowale crossed into the red zone after catching a check down, Landman executed a perfect "peanut punch." Defensive end Braden Fiske recovered the fumble and Los Angeles won 14-9.
2) CB Cobie Durant's 50-yard pick-six against the Buccaneers
Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield targeted tight end Cade Otton near the sideline, but after a bobble, Durant ripped the ball out of Otton's hands. He took off down the sideline, following his blocks into the end zone to give the Rams an early 14-0 lead.
1) Curl's diving interception in overtime of the divisional round, setting up the Rams' game-winning drive
The Bears needed around 15 yards to get into field goal range, and three points would have won the game. Curl had other plans. Quarterback Caleb Williams' downfield pass was too short for his intended target, and Curl went full extension, turning his back to the snow-covered ground to secure the pick and help keep the Rams' season alive.
