WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams head coach Sean McVay said that wide receiver Puka Nacua (ribs) and cornerback Darious Williams (shoulder) will practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday, but "They are looking good for the game."
Meanwhile, wide receiver Jordan Whittington (back) won't practice Wednesday, as he came out of Sunday's game with some tightness and they are going to "be smart with him." However, McVay expects Whittington "to be able to make good progress."
Nacua suffered a rib injury in the third quarter of Sunday's win over New Orleans. While McVay said postgame that he could have re-entered the game, they chose to err on the side of caution while up big in the fourth quarter. There was "good, positive stuff" on Nacua's scan, and they anticipate him being ready to go against the 49ers in Week 10.
Williams missed the Week 9 matchup against the Saints with what McVay described as a "freak" shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 7, but he is also trending towards a return – barring any setbacks – in San Francisco.
