Matthew Stafford named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 18

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford finished the 2025 regular season with a flourish, and was recognized with a weekly award.

Stafford was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 18, the NFL announced Wednesday morning.

He completed 25 of 40 pass attempts for 259 yards and four touchdowns in Los Angeles' 37-20 win over the Cardinals last Sunday at SoFi Stadium, a performance that moved him to seventh on the NFL's all-time career passing touchdowns list and sixth on the NFL's all-time career completions list.

That performance also marked his third season with 4,500-plus passing yards and 40-plus passing touchdowns, which tied Tom Brady for the most such seasons by a quarterback in NFL history, and made Stafford the third player in league history with multiple touchdown passes in 15 games in a single season, joining Hall of Famers Peyton Manning (2013 with Denver) and Dan Marino (1984 with Miami).

Stafford is the fourth Ram to earn player of the week recognition for the 2025 season, joining wide receiver Puka Nacua (Weeks 14 and 4), punter Ethan Evans (Week 11) and inside linebacker Nate Landman (Week 1).
