Started 21 of 39 games played and was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection and a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award in 2019 after catching 48 passes for 589 yards and one touchdown as a junior. He was also an All-Pac-12 honorable mention selection as a sophomore in 2018 when he had 29 catches for 485 yards and seven touchdowns. Registered an eight-yard touchdown pass at Oregon State in 2019, becoming the first Stanford non‐quarterback to throw a touchdown pass since Christian McCaffrey vs. USC in the 2015 Pac‐12 Championship. Also became the first Cardinal to throw for a touchdown and record a touchdown reception since McCaffrey in that 2015 Pac‐12 Championship game. Tied single‐game school record with four touchdown catches vs. Oregon State in 2018 and his seven scores ranked third in the nation among tight ends.

Five‐star recruit by 247Sports and PrepStar, a four‐star recruit by Scout, Rivals and ESPN Nation's 21st best recruit by PrepStar Rivals.
