Rams agree to terms with CB Jaylen Watson on three-year deal

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The Rams' overhaul of the cornerback room into the start of free agency continued with another new addition, agreeing to terms with former Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson on a three-year deal.

Watson, 27, produced 178 total tackles, 24 passes defensed, three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and four sacks in his first four NFL seasons in Kansas City, starting 29 of the 53 regular season games he played in as well as four of the 10 playoff games he played in.

A two-time Super Bowl champion, Watson re-joins former Kansas City teammate Trent McDuffie in Los Angeles after L.A. traded for McDuffie then signed him to a four-year contract extension.

Watson originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick (243rd overall) out of Washington State in 2022.
