COLLEGE

• Completed his four-year collegiate career at NIU with 52 games played (25 starts), and recorded 113 tackles (59 colo), six interceptions, nine pass break-ups, four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
• During his 2024 season, started every game as a free safety and earned First-team All-MAC accolades. Led the team with three interceptions which he returned for 57 yards. Tied for team-lead with eight pass break-ups and 31 solo tackles, while finishing fourth on the team with a career-high 52 tackles.
• His 2024 campaign marked his first season as a starter, where he led the team with three interceptions while making 46 tackles. He earned Second-Team All-MAC honors, and recorded 1.5 tackles for loss, a pass break-up, and half a sack. Valcarcel scored his first career touchdown when he returned a fumble 50 yards against Toledo.
• Played in all 12 games in 2022 on special teams and as a reserve safety. He concluded the year with 10 tackles (seven solo) and one half tackle for loss.
• Played at both NIU and South Dakota in 2021, seeing action in 14 games at NIU and four spring games at South Dakota, which made him one of ten true freshmen to compete there. Finished the season with five solo tackles as a member of the kickoff coverage and punt return units at NIU.

PERSONAL

• Played as a running back and defensive back at Whitnall High School, receiving all-conference honors on offense and defense.
• Earned First-Team All-State and All-Region honors as a senior. Rushed for 1,824 yards in eight games and recorded 28 touchdowns, 41 tackles, and a tackle for a loss.
• Also played basketball and ran track and field at Whitnall.
• Majored in Organizational and Corporate Communications at NIU.
