WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) and tight end Davis Allen (back) are out for Sunday's game against the 49ers (1:25 p.m. PT, FOX).
Kupp being ruled out doesn't come as a surprise, especially after McVay said Kupp's ankle would be in a cast this week. Meanwhile, the back injury that caused Allen to miss last week's game against the Cardinals is "still bothering him," according to McVay.
Kicker Joshua Karty (groin), cornerback Cobie Durant (toe) and nose tackle Bobby Brown III (ankle) are listed as questionable.
McVay said Los Angeles would see how Karty gets through Friday's practice before determining whether he'll go on Sunday. If he doesn't, McVay said Tanner Brown – who was signed to the practice squad this week – would go at kicker.
As for Brown's ankle injury, McVay said Brown "tweaked his ankle" in Thursday's practice. "kind of a little scare in terms of getting rolled up on with some foot traffic but it seems like everything's going to be okay," McVay said.
For the 49ers, tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is listed as doubtful, while defensive end Nick Bosa (rib) is listed as questionable.
