A two-year starter at Olentangy High School, was a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school, ranking amongst the top offensive tackles in the nation (No.63) and the top seniors in the state of Ohio (No.44) by Rivals.
Was named to the Associated Press Division I All-Ohio Second-Team and the AP All-Central District First-Team his senior year, when he saw action on both sides of the ball as an offensive tackle and defensive end.
In his junior year, posted a season-high eight tackles and a recovered fumble vs. Hilliard Davidson.
