Selected by the Rams in the 7th round (235 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft (4/30/22). Placed on Injured/ Reserved list (9/1/22).
College
Hardy appeared in 43 games over his three playing years at Montana State. During his senior year, Hardy moved from linebacker to defensive end and had 24.5 tackles-for-loss and 16.5 sacks, which is third and fourth-most all-time at MSU respectively. Hardy finished sixth in the FCS in sacks and ninth in tackles-for-loss. He was named Second Team All-America by HERO and Stats Perform and First Team All-Big Sky. In his game against Weber State, Hardy registered 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble to earn him Big Sky Player of the Week. Hardy was invited to the 2022 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. In 2020, the Big Sky cancelled their football season. Hardy played entirely at linebacker his sophomore year, starting in four games. He had 18 tackles and 1.0 sack against Austin Peay in the FCS Quarterfinals. During his freshman campaign, Hardy played in all 13 games for the Bobcats and his first tackle-for-loss came against Northern Colorado in November 11. Hardy made his collegiate debut against Western Illinois in 2018 and played junior college at College of the Siskiyous where he registered 66 tackles and 9.0 sacks.
Personal
Hardy earned All-State nods as a receiver and linebacker during his senior year at Valley Catholic High School. He also played basketball and participated in the Oregon Athletic Association's All-Star basketball series. Hardy majored in business with a marketing emphasis.
