College: During his time at Oklahoma State, Taylor appeared in 51 games (26 starts) and finished his career ranked in the top ten active FBS players with three career non-offensive touchdowns. He also participated in the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl. During his final campaign in 2022, he was named to the 2022 Walter Camp All-America Second-Team after having a career year. He was also named a Paycom Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, First-Team AllBig 12 selection by both the coaches and the Associated Press, and an honorable mention for the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Taylor finished the season ranked third among all FBS players with six interceptions and third with 6.2 solo tackles per game. He led the team with a career-best 99 tackles (80 solo) and 3.5 tackles for loss. As a junior in 2021, he appeared in all 14 games (13 starts) and was named a honorable mention AllBig 12 selection by the league's head coaches. Against Texas, Taylor had an 85-yard interception for a touchdown, the fourthlongest interception return in program history and the longest since 2001. He was the fifth-leading tackler on the team with 48 tackles (37 solo) and 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, four pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble. During the 2020 season, he appeared in all 11 games rotating on defense and special teams. He was named Second-Team Academic AllBig 12 honoree. Against Texas Tech, he earned OSU's Special Teams Player of the Game with a 48-yard onside kick return for a touchdown, the longest play of OSU's season and was OSU's first kickoff return touchdown since Tyreek Hill in 2014. He finished the season with 12 total tackles (nine solo) and ranked second in the Big 12 and fifth in the FBS. As a redshirt freshman in 2019, he appeared in all 13 games, mainly on special teams. Taylor totaled 16 tackles (12 solo) and one tackle for loss. As a true freshman in 2018, he redshirted and appeared in one game.
Personal: A 2018 graduate of Carl Albert High School in Oklahoma City, OK., Taylor helped lead his team to his second state championship in 2017, with a perfect 14-0 record. As a senior, he was named the 2017 OKPreps Class 5A Player of the Year. On offense he caught 42 passes for nearly 800 yards and 14 touchdowns, and finished with nine interceptions on defense. He earned All-State and district MVP. Taylor also played basketball and helped his team to the state semifinalists as a junior. During his time at OSU, he majored in university studies.
