Hill played his best collegiate season his final year at Oregon, finishing seventh on the team in tackles (71) and was a second-team Pac-12 all-conference choice. He was a 14-game starter, ranked second in the league in pass breakups and 11th nationally. He returned his lone interception of the season 22-yards and forced two fumbles against Ohio State and California. He was the Duck's fifth leading tackler as a Junior in 2013. He appeared in the first 11 games and was a contributor on special teams. In 2012, he was the team's primary backup corner and recorded his first collegiate interception for a touchdown (29 yards). He started six of 14 games in 2011 after working with the scout team during his redshirt season in 2010.


Hill played defensive back and wide receiver for his high school team that posted an 11-2 record his senior season. He was named 2009 All-Channel League First Team-Defense following his senior year. His junior year, he recorded 46 tackles and five interceptions, leading to 2008 Second-Team All-State Junior honors by CalHiSports.com. Hill also was All-Channel League Second-Team Defense in 2007 and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. He was listed as a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com and the no. 32 corner in the country. He played his high school ball at St. Bonaventure and majored in general social science. Hill is the son of Jim Gilmer and Sandra Jennings.

Community Impact

When Hill was with the Rams in 2018, he joined teammates and Rams staff for a visit to the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility where he helped lead young men in a football clinic and group discussion.
