The Rams have issued their first injury report of the week, and inside linebacker Mark Barron (ankle) remains on the list as a non-participant.
Barron was unable to practice all last week and was inactive for Monday's game against Oakland with an achilles issue. Though Los Angeles did not have a full practice on Wednesday — instead opting for a walk-thru to ease the players back in on a short week — Barron would not have participated had it been full speed.
Head coach Sean McVay noted in his Tuesday press conference that it's tough to say whether or not Barron will be available for Sunday's home opener against the Cardinals.
"He's kind of day-to-day right now," McVay said. "It's such a tough thing as far as being able to really project and predict what he's going to be able to do. Whether he's going to be available or not right now, I think is definitely questionable."
Wide receiver Mike Thomas (hip) also appeared on the first injury report of the week. McVay mentioned on Tuesday that Thomas will likely miss a few games, but was seeking a second opinion after injuring his groin during Monday's win over the Raiders.
Given the short week, L.A. also listed running back Todd Gurley as a non-participant for Wednesday, though he simply received a rest day.
Additionally, Los Angeles placed All-Pro returner Pharoh Cooper on injured reserve on Wednesday, as he will have surgery to repair his injured ankle.
The Rams brought back wide receiver JoJo Natson to replace Cooper as the club's returner.
Below is the full Wednesday injury report for both teams.
