WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Although Rams cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon appeared on Thursday's injury report with a knee injury, head coach Sean McVay on Friday said it will not affect Witherspoon's availability for Sunday's Week 1 game against the Texans at SoFi Stadium (1:25 p.m. PT, CBS).

Indeed, Witherspoon does not carry a designation heading into Sunday's game.

"He just felt a little something in his knee," McVay said prior to Friday's practice. "I think it was more just... these premier athletes on the perimeter, he felt something, we're always erring on the side of caution with him. And so it was more of just precautionary, but talking to him after practice, even the other day, and seeing him this morning, he feels good. He knows his body really well, just with the experience he's accumulated, and so being more safe than sorry."

Offensive lineman Alaric Jackson was listed as a limited participant Friday, but McVay said that's just a reflection of how they will modify Jackson's workload on Fridays throughout the season, and that nothing has changed in regards to Jackson's availability for Sunday. Jackson likewise does not carry a designation entering Sunday's game.

All told, McVay said that the team expects "to have all hands on deck ready to roll" for Sunday's game.

For the Texans, wide receivers Christian Kirk (hamstring) and Braxton Berrios (hamstring) have been ruled out, while offensive guard Ed Ingram (abdomen) is listed as questionable.
