Injury Updates: Puka Nacua (ankle) and Rob Havenstein (ankle) expected to be 'ready to go' barring setbacks; Darious Williams' (shoulder) status still up in the air for Week 9 vs. Saints

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams head coach Sean McVay said wide receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) and offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (ankle) are expected to return to practice on Wednesday. They should be "ready to go" for Sunday's game against the Saints barring any setbacks.

Nacua missed the Rams' Week 7 win over the Jaguars in London after he sprained his ankle against the Ravens in Week 6, while Havenstein has been out since Week 5.

Cornerback Darious Williams, meanwhile, "got a little banged up" late in that Week 7 victory over Jacksonville, sustaining a "weird, freak" injury to his shoulder, McVay said.

"It's almost like a strain in his shoulder and in his lat," McVay added. "It's kind of an abnormal deal that typically – it's a very abnormal type of injury, but it is something that you need to be cognizant of and certain movements and things that we're asked to do, especially from the corner spot, where it does kind of just trigger it."

Williams rehabbed during the bye week and the team will continue to monitor his progress ahead of Sunday's home game against the Saints. They are going to "keep the doors open for him going this week," but will have a contingency plan in place if he's unable to play, McVay said.
