Sean McVay & Matthew Stafford join entire 2025 team at annual Rams Kickoff for Charity

The Los Angeles Rams kicked off the 2025 season in true Rams fashion with purpose, passion and a packed house. Hours before traveling to Cleveland for their last preseason matchup, the Rams hosted their annual Kickoff for Charity brunch, presented by UNIFY Financial Credit Union. The charity event brought fans, players and partners together for a day of connection and giving, with proceeds benefiting the Los Angeles community through the Rams Foundation.

"When you put on that Rams jersey, you're not just representing the team—you're representing this community," Head Coach Sean McVay told the crowd. "Events like this remind us of that responsibility."

The exciting event allowed partners and fans to sit at tables alongside leadership, including President Kevin Demoff, McVay, current Rams players and Legends. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to bid on unique auction items, including a suite to a 2025 home game at SoFi Stadium, a road trip on the team charter and Super Bowl LX tickets.

The event began with Demoff speaking on the importance of giving back to the community. "This isn't just about football—it's about Los Angeles," said Demoff. "Every dollar raised here today goes right back into programs that serve youth, families, and neighborhoods that need our support. We want our players and our fans to know they're building something bigger than the game."

Beyond the auction, the Rams organization has made it a priority to support those affected by the January Los Angeles wildfires. One of the individuals spotlighted was longtime Rams fan and Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions employee Larry Villescas, who lost his Altadena home in the wildfires. In a heartfelt video, Villescas spoke on his family's experience, resilience, and support from his community. As his family is rebuilding, he spoke about his love for the Rams and the support that they have shown to his family. After the video, Demoff and Rams Legend Andrew Whitworth invited Villescas' sons to the stage, surprising the family with tickets to Super Bowl LX. The exciting announcement left the room in applause.

A son of the Villescas family summed it up best, "I was not expecting that, stuff like this does not happen to us. It's just a blessing. I'm just so excited," said Lawrence Villescas.

Whitworth, who emceed the night, tied the theme of resilience back to community. "My way of showing support back is to make sure that I'm in the community helping people, so they can take that next step in their life—the same way I've been supported my entire career," he said.

To close the event, fans and partners got to witness a keynote address by McVay as he shared his philosophy on building a sustained winning culture and provided a glimpse of what his team speeches are all about. McVay also showed videos of prominent plays from last season from current players explaining how they are equipped with the skills heading into the season.

Through Kickoff for Charity, the Rams Foundation reaffirmed its mission to inspire change by providing access and opportunity, driving equity and fighting for equality for all Angelenos through addressing education inequities, housing and food insecurities, community-police relations, youth justice and mentorship.
