Todd Gurley named No. 5 on NFL Top 100

Rams running back Todd Gurley has been named No. 5 on the NFL Top 100 list this year.

Despite playing in 14 games last season, Gurley led the league with 17 rushing touchdowns and 21 total touchdowns as the Rams went 13-3 in the regular season en route to a second consecutive NFC West division title.

Gurley has been a dynamic player since entering the league in 2015 as the No. 10 overall pick out of Georgia, but he's been arguably the best offensive player in football since 2017. Over the last two seasons, Gurley's recorded 2,556 yards rushing, 30 rushing touchdowns, 123 receptions for 1,368 yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns.

This is Gurley's third appearance on the Top 100 — and the highest he's ever been. Gurley was previously No. 22 in 2016, following his AP Offensive Rookie of the Year season. He was also No. 6 last year after earning 2017 AP Offensive Player of the Year.

Gurley is the fifth Ram to appear on the list so far, following safety Eric Weddle (No. 100), left tackle Andrew Whitworth (No. 91), wide receiver Robert Woods (No. 76), and quarterback Jared Goff (No. 32).

The NFL also previously announced L.A. defensive tackle Aaron Donald will be a part of the Top 10. It's now guaranteed he'll be within the top four.
