Injury Updates: Puka Nacua, Rob Havenstein and Blake Corum won't practice Wednesday with ankle injuries; Tutu Atwell (hamstring) and Omar Speights (ankle) will be limited

BALTIMORE – Rams head coach Sean McVay said that wide receiver Puka Nacua, offensive lineman Rob Havenstein and running back Blake Corum all won't practice on Wednesday while nursing ankle injuries. Outside linebacker Josaiah Stewart (illness) will also miss practice today ahead of the Rams' Week 7 matchup with the Jaguars in London on Sunday.

Wide receiver Tutu Atwell (hamstring) and inside linebacker Omar Speights (ankle) will be limited on Wednesday after both were sidelined for last week's contest against the Ravens, but tight end Colby Parkinson will practice fully on Wednesday after a concussion held him out of the Baltimore game.

Nacua sustained an ankle sprain on Sunday after an awkward fall in the end zone during the first half. He returned briefly later on, but ultimately finished the game on the bench, as he didn't feel quite good enough to remain in. McVay said "it's hard to say right now" whether Nacua will practice this week.

When asked the determining factor for if Nacua will play in London, McVay said, "There's a difference between return to play (and) return to performance. You want to put him in a position to have successful outcomes." Getting through a practice or two and feeling good afterwards plays a big role in returning to performance, McVay added.

When asked if he would consider playing Nacua even if he didn't practice, McVay said, "I certainly don't want to pigeonhole myself into an approach like that, but I think that you would like him to be able to do that."

Speights, meanwhile, is "making really good progress" after suffering a high ankle sprain against the 49ers two weeks ago, McVay said. "If things go according to plan, should expect him to be ready to go for the game."

Earlier this week, McVay said Atwell is expected to play on Sunday against Jacksonville. On Wednesday, he reiterated that, adding that his "limited" practice listing reflects their mindful approach with high-speed yards. "Everything is trending in the direction of we expect him to be ready to roll, just being smart, easing him back in, but (him being limited is) not because of any sort of setbacks," McVay said.
