With the offseason program complete and Rams Training Camp starting up on July 22, it's time to look ahead. As part of the preparation for training camp, theRams.com will be spotlighting a handful of players new to the Rams' roster. Continuing the series is inside linebacker Nate Landman.

How He Got Here: After reportedly not being tendered by the Falcons as a restricted free agent and therefore becoming an unrestricted free agent, Landman signed a one-year deal with the Rams on March 18.
What's Next: Continuing to get familiar with Los Angeles' defense, and maintaining a leadership and mentorship role within the inside linebacker room. Landman already has some familiarity with the Rams' scheme, having played for Falcons head coach and former Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris last season, which was likely a factor in the Rams signing him. Rams senior defensive assistant Jimmy Lake was Atlanta's defensive coordinator last season and can translate terms from one scheme to another. Those variables probably have a hand in why inside linebackers coach Greg Williams has said Landman has seamlessly integrated into L.A.'s defense.
Bet You Didn't Know: In 2023, Landman's 77 stops – defined by Next Gen Stats as "tackles that result in a successful play for the defense (negative Expected Points Added)" – were 12th-most among linebackers in the NFL.
Quotable: "He's come in and guys respect him just from where he's been and what he's done. He's taken into our defense just seamlessly." - Williams on Landman on July 2
