Season Ticket Members,
We are excited to welcome you back to the Rams House Sunday afternoon as we look to defend our NFC West crown, opening the regular season at home for the first time in three seasons.
Our matchup against the Houston Texans on September 7th will kick off our 10th season back in Los Angeles since returning in 2016. When envisioning this incredible opportunity to bring the Rams back home, Stan Kroenke said, "You can't undershoot Los Angeles." With that as our guide, we've taken big swings, always with the goal of delivering a championship organization on-and-off the field for you all and for this city.
Since returning to Los Angeles, we have captured more NFC West titles than any team in our division. Since hiring Head Coach Sean McVay in 2017, his pairing with General Manager Les Snead has produced seven seasons out of eight with winning records, six postseason appearances, four NFC West titles, two NFC Championship victories, and of course, one Super Bowl championship right here at SoFi Stadium. Last year they became the winningest Head Coach and General Manager in Rams history, and we are hopeful to build upon last year's amazing season.
Coming up just short in the snow in Philadelphia has pushed our team this offseason. The core of this team is one of the youngest in the NFL, and they have grown together as Rams, establishing the most connected locker room we have ever had. We are all excited to see what star receiver Davante Adams adds to an already dynamic offense powered by Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams and Matthew Stafford. For our defense, watching Jared Verse, Byron Young, Braden Fiske, Kobie Turner grow together as LA's next pass-rushing foursome has been inspiring. We feel strongly that this is the deepest team we have assembled in Los Angeles, and we can't wait to see our rookies contribute in the coming months as well.
As you will see pulling into the parking lots this weekend, we continue to develop Hollywood Park, the vibrant 300-acre city-within-a-city around SoFi Stadium. The retail district has various shops and restaurants to visit before and after the game, and the Kali Hotel and Rooftop is starting to take shape by the lake. We are also focused on breaking ground on our 100-acre sports and entertainment district in Woodland Hills that will be anchored by our eventual permanent headquarters.
In addition to our team and stadium investments, we continue to invest in the future of Los Angeles through our community programs.
Since 2016, 65,000 local elementary school students have participated in Rams PLAY 60 Field Days. Working with Los Angeles Regional Food Bank over the past decade, we have raised more than $1.5 million and provided five million meals to food insecure Angelenos. As we look to grow the game of football at all levels, we have supported the Watts Rams and North East Lincoln Rams in partnership with LAPD and have engaged more than 10,000 girls flag athletes, a commitment that will continue to grow as we approach the 2028 Summer Olympics here in Los Angeles where Flag Football will debut as an Olympic sport.
This year, our focus took a different path when we dedicated our resources to fire relief and recovery following the devastating wildfires in January. We hosted our Draft headquarters at LAFD Air Operations in Van Nuys, raised money for the LAFD Foundation benefiting both LA City and LA County Fire Departments, and recently honored first responders from across the region during a preseason game. Over the summer we worked with City Year to help beautify Odyssey Charter School in Altadena and hosted the annual WalkUnitedLA with United Way at the Rose Bowl Stadium to raise funds to benefit the recovery efforts from the fires. Our team is only as healthy as our city, and we remain committed to being there and pouring into this community in times of need.
The best way we know to lift our community is through magical moments that bring Los Angeles together at SoFi Stadium.
This year, we will see many great matchups and historic moments at the Rams House. On October 2nd, we'll host our division rival 49ers on Thursday Night Football – and we all know how electric the Rams House is under the lights in primetime. We are guaranteed eight regular season home games this year, and hopefully we earn a few more in January. We know that with you filling the building and answering the call of "Whose House?", we will create a home field environment which will fuel and inspire our team in the pursuit of our ultimate goal, bringing another Lombardi Trophy back to our city.
Coach McVay said it best at our Kickoff For Charity brunch two weeks ago, "There's going to be a lot of fun times at SoFi this year." I couldn't agree more, and we can't wait to see you all there.
Thanks as always for your continued support and Go Rams!
Kevin
