Rams tender exclusive rights free agents Justin Dedich, Harrison Mevis and Xavier Smith

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The Rams have tendered offensive lineman Justin Dedich, kicker Harrison Mevis and wide receiver Xavier Smith, all of whom were exclusive rights free agents.

An exclusive rights free agent is any player with less than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.

Dedich, 25, originally joined the Rams as an undrafted free agent signee out of USC in 2024. He has since appeared in 32 games over the last two seasons, making 10 starts in that span, including playoffs.

Mevis, 23, was signed by Los Angeles on Nov. 5 and became its new kicker. In those nine regular season games, he made 12 of 13 field goal attempts and all 39 of his extra point attempts. He was 6 for 6 on field goals, including the game-winning field goal against the Bears that sent the Rams to the NFC Championship Game, and 9 for 9 on extra points across the Rams' three playoff games.

Smith, 28, was the team's primary punt returner last season. He returned 27 punts for 251 yards for an average of 9.3 yards per return across 16 regular season games. He also posted 18 receptions for 303 yards, both career highs.
