Top Rams News: Reactions to 2024 schedule

The Rams released their 2024 schedule on Wednesday, complete with not only a video for the release itself, but also a trivia video featuring head coach Sean McVay.

Reactions to all of the above below:

Schedule

ESPN NFL Nation Rams reporter Sarah Barshop's biggest takeaway is the team getting the majority of their six playoff teams they'll face at home.

"Although the Rams play six playoff teams (and the NFC Champion 49ers twice) in 2024, only two of those games are away. Los Angeles hosts the Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and 49ers during 2024 and plays road games against San Francisco and the Lions. The Rams will play the Packers for the fifth season in a row. The previous four matchups -- all Rams losses -- were played at Lambeau Field, including a playoff loss to end the 2020-21 season."

Barshop's full takeaways and prediction can be read here.

NFL Network Analytics Expert Cynthia Frelund projects 9.2 wins for the Rams, what would be the sixth-most among NFC teams for the 2024 season.

"The Rams have a pretty favorable setup over the first 11 weeks, in terms of opponent styles and the general cadence of the schedule," Frelund writes. "Things get dicey after that, though, as a late-November game against the Eagles precedes a high-mileage month of December where the Rams will traverse the country to face the Saints, 49ers and Jets, with a home contest against the Bills in the midst of it all. That stretch figures to create some drama."

Frelund's full breakdown can be read here.

The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue pegs Week 12 at San Francisco as the must-watch game.

"If history is any indication, this game will likely have heavy playoff implications (possibly for both teams). Further, the Rams will still have two more NFC West games on their schedule at this time (Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks in Weeks 17 and 18) that will either help or hurt their positioning," Rodrigue writes. "Sean McVay against Kyle Shanahan is always a must-watch, even if historically lopsided in favor of Shanahan specifically during the regular season."
