What's next
The Rams' defensive back personnel hasn't changed much since last season, but roles are yet to be determined. Former first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes Jr. has bulked up and gained confidence since he was acquired in the middle of last season, and the Rams' cornerback room has many viable options. Determining starting and rotational roles will be a significant endeavor during training camp.
Meanwhile, the Rams employed three safeties in most of their defensive sets last season, so having five or six defensive backs on the field is common. That gives opportunities for younger players to work into the lineup, and determining who will do so will likely be a priority moving forward.
