College: The 2020 season marked Skowronek's first season with the Irish as a graduate transfer from Northwestern. He was invited to the Reese's Senior Bowl and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Skowronek started nine games of the ten he played in at Notre Dame. He hauled in two passes for 107 yards and two TDs (73-yard long) with a 53.5-yard average in the 45-3 win at Pitt (10/24) and was the gameball recipient. He also totaled five receptions for 63 yards and three touchdowns, which led all ACC players in scoring that week, in the 45-31 win at Boston College (11/14). He totaled four receptions for a team-high 54 yards in the ACC Championship Game (12/9) and caught four passes for 41 yards, rushing once for four yards, in the CFP Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game (1/1/21). During his senior year in 2019 at Northwestern, Skowronek played in three games, recording 12 catches for 141 yards before being sidelined with a season-ending injury. He was named one of four team captains for Northwestern. He started all 14 games of the 2018 season as a junior and totaled 45 catches for 562 yards and three touchdowns. He posted multiple receptions in 10 games and posted four catches for 42 yards in the Big Ten Championship (12/1). Skowronek was named Academic All-Big Ten for the second consecutive season. In his sophomore campaign in 2017, Skowronek started all 13 games, leading Northwestern with 45 receptions for 644 yards and adding five touchdowns. He set career-highs in multiple categories, including receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns, yards per catch (14.3) and yards per game (49.5). He had a breakout performance with eight receptions for 123 yards in the season opening victory over Nevada (9/2). He was named Academic All-Big Ten and was one of three true freshman on Northwestern's roster to see game action in 2016. He appeared in all 13 games of the season both on offense and special teams. He finished the year with eight receptions for 70 yards.
Personal: Skowronek attended Homestead High School where he earned a three-star rating from 247Sports and ranked the No. 12 prospect in the state of Indiana. He recorded a school-record 133 receptions for 2,181 yards and 26 touchdowns during his career on the varsity level. He also registered 52 tackles, three tackles for loss and three interceptions at safety and returned kickoffs and punts. He led the Spartans to the 2015 Indiana 6A Sectional championship and was the 2015 Indiana Mr. Football positional winner. He was named Associated Press All-State, IFCA All-State, three-time First Team All-Conference (SAC), three-time All-Area, two-time All-Northeast Indiana, two-time Fab15 selection, and a IFCA Top-50 selection. Skowronek also played basketball for Homestead, earning two varsity letters and winning the Indiana 4A state championship. He was an honor roll student and majored in communication studies while attending Northwestern.
